Long-Term Cross-Slope Variation in Highways Built on Soft Soil under Coupling Action of Traffic Load and Consolidation

The variation in road cross slope with service life affects the pavement drainage and has an adverse effect on vehicle operation safety. This paper describes a cross-slope prediction method influenced by coupling of traffic load soil consolidation, considering characteristics embankment to cover shortage for insufficient consideration compacted embankment. First, load-induced settlement equation highway soft foundation was introduced, which considers effects stress, confining pressure, structure, strength weakening cyclic loading times different positions along cross-section. Then, finite element model foundations under consolidation is established, influence seepage. Finally, predictions long-term generated action were carried out contrastive analysis measured data. We find following: (1) mostly from natural subsoil, while mainly affected load; (2) areas occurs within 1 year operation. passenger cars trucks shows diametrically opposite results, as car lane decreases truck increases; (3) relative error results data are 2.86% 2.5% left right slopes, respectively.
